Here at Russian Bear Kennels, we work to preserve and promote the black russian terrier to the best of our abilities. These are not a breed for the masses but they are a breed for the discerning, who are willing to adopt a new member into the family - not just "purchase" a pet.
Owning a brt is a lifelong commitment on both your and your brts part. They will give you undivided attention, undemanding love and unbelievable devotion. They will pour their heart and soul into your safety and protection and ask only that you keep them close to you always. They are also addictive - you can never own just one!!

on her recent loss of Leeza and Amazonkas grandmother VIESTA SORBONNA BARS - she was 12.5 yrs old and was a very loved member of the Yablonka household. You might remember all the BIS Veteran Awards she has received over the years - but we will remember her as the start of a legacy.

We came for the EUKANUBA Show on Sunday (proof positive of what I say about dog shows - on any given day in front of any given judge with any given competition - any one can win - and congrats to the winners and all the competitors ) - and we stayed for various reasons and now we are stuck. It has rained, been cold, snowed record amounts, had mud slides and earth quakes, closed roads and delayed traffic - you name it the weather here has been having fun!!! - luckily Ed has his computer with him so he can play WOW  I am feeling slightly paranoid about me and California as when I came to Eukanuba last year it was crappy weather then too (not this bad of course but no fun). Makes me wonder if I bring it with me!

Here is a listing of our breeding stock and their accomplishments - I know I am repeating some news - but some people dont read this all the time and dont know the players or the scorecards. and we have had some updates.
FCI Intl CH, IABCA Intl & Natl CH, AKC CH Radomir S Almaznogo Ostrova, CD, RA, TT, CGC, SG-2, IPO-1, BH, multiple group winner and placer, Eukanuba 2007 1rst AOM, and in the Top 10 for the last 3 yrs (Breed), Top 10 All Breed 2006 and 2007 has gotten his TT, RE working/temperament tests and his IABCA Intl and National Championships and is currently #7 BRT in the US with only very limited showing (8 shows - his last in May going BOB at a CA show) - he was BOS at Westminster 2008 opposite our Lizaveta and BOB, BISS at the BRTCA Supported Entry Specialty at the IKC in...
