Hi Vancouver, Don't feel like the lone stranger....we all have lots to learn, some of us just don't admitt it....LOL Same theory with screwing up...:-) I agree with you about groups eventually trying to fade out the "scary" breeds. They're trying already. Even in BRTS....breeding out the w...

I never heard of this guy, just stumbled across him...only read this article by him... and think that it is a very informative piece...... It answers some very basic dog language questions.....He explains better than I can....the intricate language of the body....It takes years of observation to rec...

Yep Vancouver, I tend to agree. The first thing that struck me was the change in terminology moving towards being PC. The second was demonizing the tools used....instead of holding the people using them responsible. I mean really...I can use a spoon to "abuse" a dog....or a human. The auth...

iluvjoe, I would say that as long as you train your husband well, you should have no problems....LOL Seriously though...BRT's being a guardian breed does, in general make them a tad wary of taking commands from folk they don't know. Family members should be a different story. They are all members of...

elisealysia10, I looked at the videos of your dogs on youtube. Yes, your BRT looks light, but there could be several factors that make it so. He is not mature, for one. Brts tend to "buff out" in their 3rd and 4th year. If he is very active, he may be running the food you feed, right off. ...
