So happy to be able to finally say we got our little boy today and he was definitely worth the wait. I was tracking his flight the whole day. It was exciting to watch the plane fly across the country. I think we have a name... Mr. Nikolai. I now realize the difficultly of getting a good picture. He will not pose for the camera. I got a good one of him sleeping. I will try to post it later.

Congratulations on your new little boy! You sound as excited as we are-we just got our new puppy, ZZ Top, yesterday and he is absolutely perfect. He is so calm and playful and just so perfect. I am so happy to have become interested in this breed and to have met Helene as ZZ is the perfect addition to our family. We also have realized how difficult it is to take a picture that is not a fuzzy blur!!! I will try to post some pictures as well. Sue Drill

PHOTOS>>> Finally figure out how to post. Ok, one full night under our belt. He was put in the crate for the night and after a little bit of crying he calmed down and went to sleep until 3am. After taking him outside for a potty break he went back to sleep in the crate until 6am. Nice! Everything we have read from other posts is true. He is very smart and mellow... Sue hope you are enjoying your baby as much as we are ours!

Is'nt it funny how we go througha nesting phase whie waiting for te puppy. And when they get here its like they say, " Its ok Calm down!"

Your puppy is really cute. I picked up mine last week. She is 9 weeks old today. Ours is pretty good in the kennel too. We put a teddy bear in with her. I heard it helps with puppies after they are taken away from their mom. She has had the teddy since the first day we got her and I have had to wash it 2 times:) I have been working on training her to go pee and poop on command. So far it's working! It's raining here today and as soon as I let her out I told her to go peepee and she did it as quick as she could and came running inside for her treat:P It's all about the treats! Kat, so happy to see you on the forum. PLEEEAAAAAse keep giving updates. That little man is such a dolly and I definitely want to watch him "grow up". I can even tell you about his birth! Let's just say he entered the world looking for a meal. The mellow temperament would definitely be from his father. His mother is a livewire.

Kat and Jackie, you will enjoy comparing notes! You have littermates. They were formerly known as Alpha and Beta.

Jeannie check out the pics I posted under my post New family addition! That is so cool that Alpha was adopted! My puppy was the second born and I think that she is just as hungry as Alpha! She takes at least 3 poops a day It's amazing! You would never think a dog could go so much. I had the opportunity to meet your puppy Nikolai, and he is really impressive! Huge compared to my big girl:)Kat do you plan on doing anything with your pup? Like shows? I am not sure how far I am going to go but I definitely want to get my puppy a CGC then I was thinking maybe agility.

Ok, we just had our first bath.... He was out exploring the backyard and got under the rabbit hutch and one of the rabbits decided to mark him as their property.

Jeannie- Thank you for sharing info about our pups. It is realy nice to hear about his life before us, as well as seeing photos. THANK YOU! I will definetly keep posting. It is nice to be able to compare notes with someone who has Mr. Nikolai's (Alpha) littermate.

kat, your baby's favorite toy is one that bear has as well as several others on this site! funny how we all were drawn to the same toy! i actually have one at home and one at work (bear goes to work w/my almost every day).

Kat-your puppy looks so cute after his 1st bath!!! ZZ Top is doing great and is adjusting very well to him new home. He doesn't seem too interested in the dry food but enjoys his carrots and apples and gobbled down his 1st chicken leg tonight! Happy to hear that everyone is enjoying their new puppies. Sue
